Acupuncture

Acupuncture can help with a myriad of conditions, from physical pain to emotional distress. We use fine filiform needles in acupuncture points to remove blockages and stagnation in the body. Opening the free flow of the body's natural pathways creates space for the body to regain and maintain its natural state of health. Free flow means no pain. Free flow means that the natural processes of the body happen easily; sleeping, breathing, digesting, relating to others, focusing on the task at hand, and planning for the future. Stress is released, healing enables, alignment gained and maintained.

From time to time, we use adjunct techniques such as moxabustion, tui na (chinese medical massage,) cupping, gua sha or

e-stim. We will always discuss additional modalities before using them.

Clinical staff

We are all New York State licensed acupuncturists. You can see the same acupuncturist or book with a different practitioner each time. We will not be offended, and we all access the same charts and will be able to treat you. No two acupuncturists are alike and you may resonate with one practitioner more than another. What is important is that we all are in love with the practice of acupuncture and will do our best to help you regain and retain optimal health.

Our goal is to provide quality, safe and non-judgmental care for our patients.

By nature, she is a very loving and compassionate person so she feels that this medicine is her calling in life: "I always wanted to help people in any way I can. When I first moved to NYC 7 years ago from Tokyo, what I found in my encounters is that many people suffer from side effects attributed to environmental pollution, pharmaceuticals and/or complications from a variety of operations. This created a desire to help others with so much more than just their living arrangements, it made me want to follow in my mother’s footsteps and study acupuncture and East Asian medicine.”

Kanako places a priority on making an emotional connection with patients when diagnosing their conditions and formulating a treatment plan. Empathy and understanding are her biggest strengths when making a patient feel comfortable and open to healing. Kana is also fluent in Japanese and Mandarin,
