We don’t bill insurance directly, but we provide a superbill after each visit that you can submit to your insurance company for possible out-of-network reimbursement. Coverage varies by plan, so we recommend checking with your insurer before getting started.

A sliding scale is a flexible pricing model where the fee for our services is based on what you can reasonably afford. Instead of one fixed price, we offer a range, so cost isn’t a barrier to getting the care or services you need. We use an honor system. Choose the amount that feels sustainable for you, considering your income, household size, and regular expenses like housing, debt, and dependents. As a general guide, please try to pay the amount that will allow you to recieve regular care, while understanding that we are a small business and need to be sustainable.

No. Everyone receives the same level of care, attention, and quality, regardless of the rate they pay.

We recommend loose, comfortable clothing but we can always give you a drape if you prefer to undress and wish to be covered. We have table heating mats and infrared heat lamps so you won't get cold.

Community acupuncture takes place in a shared, quiet room where several people are treated at the same time. Intake is shorter and you will rest for more of the session. Because we can see more people, we’re able to offer lower, sliding scale fees, which makes it possible to come as often as you need. Many people find the calm, restful atmosphere is part of the benefit. Private acupuncture takes place in a individual treatment room. Sessions include a more in-depth conversation about your health history. This option may be a better fit if you prefer complete privacy, need to discuss sensitive health concerns, want to receive treatment on areas of the body that require more privacy, amd/or would like additional techniques such as body work, craniosacral, etc.

We understand that daily acupuncture isn't realistic for anyone, so depending on the intensity of your symptoms, we would recommend anywhere from twice a week to monthly or even seasonally. Talk to your acupuncturist about what is right for you. Generally more acute conditions respond better to frequent care.
